Life Story

Juan Carlos Vazquez

The life of Juan Carlos completely changed when he lost his sight after a brain surgery. He was born with a brain tumor, living in poverty and his father abandoned him and his mother. Juan Carlos has been part of our sponsorship program for over 7 years. Because of the assistance he has received over the years, he has been able to continue studying and today he is a special needs athlete. He is currently in law school studying to be a lawyer and competing in track all over the state.

Through this process, he has found hope and discovered God’s love for him and his mother. This has given him the strength he needs to keep going, working hard for a better future and pursuing his dream to become the best special needs track runner of the country. He is grateful for the opportunity to discover that his limitations don’t define him and that with God everything is possible.
